George Donaldson, “Big George”, singer of “Celtic Thunder” and winner for two years of the “Irish Music Awards” passed away on March 12 at 46 years-old.

Since that moment, fans all around the world have mourned and sharing thoughts about this gentle man.

Being this site dedicated for one of the originals “Celtic Thunder”,  Damian McGinty, and being George one of them; we only want to express our condolence and sadness asking God for comfort, support and healing for his family.

  2. Can’t begin to verbalize what George’s death has meant to our family. We have been attending CT’s concerts since watching the first PBS special. George was the Heart of this wonderful, talented group and if we miss his singing and personality, what must his family be suffering. Our prayers and hopes are with his family!
